Marvel Studios Unveils First Teaser Trailer for Captain America: Brave New World
Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford star in the new Marvel Studios film, hitting theaters February 14, 2025.
Marvel Studios has released the first teaser trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, offering a fresh glimpse into Sam Wilson’s latest mission. Anthony Mackie reprises his role as the high-flying hero, who has now officially taken on the mantle of Captain America.
The trailer begins with a tense meeting at the White House, where Sam confronts newly-elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross. Harrison Ford makes his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ross, a role previously played by the late William Hurt.
Ross and Sam share a complicated history. As the former Secretary of State, Ross was responsible for arresting Sam and his fellow Avengers during the events of Captain America: Civil War. Now, as president, Ross is keen to collaborate with Sam, hoping to officially integrate Captain America into the military.
However, this fragile alliance is threatened when Sam gets embroiled in an international incident, with his friend and retired super-soldier Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) emerging as the prime suspect. Sam’s investigation leads him on a perilous chase, culminating in a deadly showdown and a tantalizing glimpse of the menacing Red Hulk.
The trailer sets the stage for an epic new chapter in the Captain America saga, filled with suspense, action, and high-stakes drama.
Familiar Faces and New Additions in the Captain America: Brave New World Trailer
The teaser trailer for Captain America: Brave New World also reintroduces some familiar characters. Danny Ramirez returns as former Air Force lieutenant Joaquin Torres, who has now taken on Sam’s old role as Falcon, complete with the iconic wings. Tim Blake Nelson reprises his role as Samuel Sterns, also known as The Leader, marking his first appearance in the MCU since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.
Joining the cast is Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph. Once a Black Widow, Ruth now holds a high-ranking position in the U.S. government and has earned the trust of President Ross. The film also features Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Xosha Roquemore in key roles.
Directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore, the movie also has Louis D’Esposito and Charles Newirth serving as executive producers.
Alongside the trailer, Marvel has released a new poster, adding to the excitement for the upcoming film.
